We are a district that serves over 6000 students and employs 725 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 1-4 two middle schools for grades 5-8 and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Strengthen and encourage meaningfully interactions in childrens development through education and counseling; problem solve social and emotional issues and provide support and assistance to students parents and staff to enable children to reach their full educational potential. Start date: January 15 2026 or as soon as possible through February 13 2026

Schedule:Mondays and Thursdays 7:30-3:30pm Fridays 7:30-11:30 a.m.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required to hold a baccalaureate or masters degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and be currently licensed in Minnesota to practice as a social worker under the Board of Social Work; job experience preferred.
Salary & Benefits
Wages: Long-Term Substiute Certified Staff Rate withappropriate Certification from PELSB: $249.55/8-hour day ($31.19/hour). $190/8-hour day ($23.75/hour) if newer to the district (or $200/8-hour day $25/hour) if have 60 certified staff substitute or other certified days in the district in 24-25 School Year) with short-call substitute license only. MN Board of Social Work license required in addition to PELSB licensing.
Benefits: No benefits available for this under 30-day assignment.Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST)will be provided as required by law for either license type.
