Its never the same and you may very well end up earning the titles of Fun facilitator and/or Superhero. Summer @ Latin staff are the best in the business at helping kids build new friendships inspiring their curiosity and extending their learning beyond the classroom while having a legendary time doing it. There is no more fun and exciting way to grow as a leader and professional than working with Summer @ Latin.
As Swim Instructor/Lifeguard youll provide instruction and supervision for children of varying ages and levels participating in swim lessons while at day camp.
- Monday through Friday for 8weeks 30 hours per week from June 8th through July 31st
- Hourly rate starting at $17/hr for swim instructors. Increased rate for those with current Lifeguard certification.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all class participants are visible and safe at all times
- Adapt your teaching approaches to the age experience and ability of participants
- Ensure and teach water safety.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by Aquatics Director
Qualifications
Requirements:
- American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer (certification classes sponsored by the camp will be available)
- Swimming background knowledge
- Thorough knowledge and application of teaching swimming and water safety skills
- Decision-making skills
- Communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim levels
