THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel for a leading IT company. The role focuses on commercial contracting with responsibility for drafting and negotiating procurement and other IT-related agreements advising on data protection matters and supporting projects involving artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization. Fluency in German and English is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including procurement vendor licensing and service contracts.
- Partner with procurement sales IT product development and data security teams to deliver consistent pragmatic legal support.
- Advise on data protection and privacy matters.
- Support the legal aspects of AI-related projects ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks.
YOUR PROFILE
- Master of Law (LL.M. or lic. iur./MLaw) preferably from a Swiss university; admission to practice law is an advantage.
- At least two years of relevant legal experience in the IT or technology sector ideally in an in-house or secondment role.
- Demonstrated ability to independently draft and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Strong business acumen and sound risk awareness.
- Clear and effective communicator with confident presentation skills.
- Fluency in German and English.
