Staff Management Group is seeking a Packing Mechanic Technician for our client in Hillside NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

All Shifts Available
1st Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM
2nd Shift: 2:30PM - 10:30PM
3rd Shift: 10PM - 6:30AM
Plus overtime
6-day rotating schedule with shifts assigned on any day of the week. Full availability and flexibility are required.

Pay Rate:

$25 / hour

Job Summary:

We are hiring Packer Technicians for all this hands-on role youll operate and maintain KHS SMI and Douglas packers to keep production running smoothly. From troubleshooting equipment to ensuring product quality and safety youll be at the heart of our packaging operations. Job Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor packaging machines to ensure consistent production flow.
Execute equipment changeovers and startups with precision safety and efficiency.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and carry out basic equipment repairs.
Inspect product quality regularly and report deviations immediately.
Maintain a clean organized and compliant work area in line with GMP and safety standards.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to enhance performance and reduce downtime.

Job Requirements:

Prior experience with KHS SMI or Douglas packers strongly preferred.
Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts or hours as needed.
Commitment to following all company safety protocols and GMP policies.
