We are searching for our next leader in the benefits space! Specifically we are looking for an experienced project and programme benefits practitioner who can successfully operate at both the detailed and strategic levels of benefits thinking monitoring and advice. The successful candidate will work to ensure that decision makers across Police have the right information to make investment decisions that enable the best value for money and return on investment they possibly can.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Bring together a strategic narrative across Police and Government goals business-as-usual and project/programme investment and organizational outcomes from a benefits perspective
  • Provide advice to Polices Senior Leadership Team on potential and proposed projects and programmes that maximize return on investment and optimize benefits delivery
  • Provide advice and guidance to project and programme practitioners on benefits identification articulation and measurement
  • Track and report on benefits realization risks and opportunities across the investment portfolio
  • Raise the levels of benefits capability and maturity across Police

Whilst we are looking for skills knowledge and experience relevant to the role we also place high importance on your state of mind the alignment of your values with ours your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams and the way that you lead yourself or others.

The successful candidate will bring:

  • 10 years experience in project and programme benefits leadership preferably at an EPMO (or similar) level with at least five of those years being in NZ government roles
  • Relevant formal qualification/s or training in benefits management and/or portfolio management such as Management of Portfolios Management of Benefits Investment Logic Mapping
  • Experience engaging with and providing strategic advice to senior leaders and executives including both written reports and in-person presentations
  • Experience in writing and implementing organisational-level frameworks including influencing behavioural change and uplifting capability and maturity across a diverse range of stakeholders

Utu ā-tau Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $155956 and $161155 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
