What Youll Do
- Directly supervise and coordinate activities of bargaining maintenance technicians
- Must complete Pre-Job Briefings for all self-performed work
- Manager personnel and equipment resources for work
- Review and approve time records for direct reports
- Required to provide management and oversight of maintenance activities for the organization
- Must be able to effectively and efficiently communicate verbally and in written form
- Specific tasks include management and oversight of:
- Union craft pool
- Schedule and assign jobs working with planning and scheduling departments
- Ensure the safe execution of work in the crafts group while meeting work schedules quality standartds and adherence to department budget
- Extensive knowledge of fall protection and general Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Waste removal and tracking
- Provide technical guidance to the site and resolve critical site issues
- Knowledge of hazards associated with electrical work
- Familiar with electrical theory and operation
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered on an exceptional basis with 13 or more years of relevant experience
Department of Energy (DOE) Order 426.2A Requirements
In addition to the above requirements the applicant must also meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A ((i.e. High School diploma and 3 years nuclear experience or a DOE O 426.2 alternative)). DOE O 426.2A experience requirements can be satisfied following the interim newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. (Ref. DOE O 426.2A)
