Responsibilities
Reads blueprints or other specifications to determine work requirements and set up machines for production of standard parts.
Operates basic equipment such as grinders lathes milling machines drills boring machines presses punches brakes and shears.
Performs preventative maintenance on tools/equipment as needed.
Reports defective equipment to supervisor.
Maintains good housekeeping practices and safety standards.
Ensures adherence to quality standards.
Utilizes computer software programs to run CNC equipment.
Required Skills and Education
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of machine shop processes preferred.
Ability to use hand and air tools safely and efficiently.
Experience operating basic equipment preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions required.
Basic math skills required.
Computer literacy preferred.
