First (Days)Overview:
The Procurement Specialistis responsible forproviding purchasingassistanceto departmental staffregardingpurchasing fundamentals oforganizationspractices procedures and policies. Under minimal supervision responsibilities include technical and professional level duties. Subject matter expert (SME)regardingthe fullprocureto pay (P2P) lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Actively communicates withinternal and externalstakeholders at all levels torepresentthe purchasing department in all forums (group individual etc.)
Will prioritize manage and shift multiple priorities/deadlines as assigned.
Identifiesand resolves problemsin a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information solutions.
Completes daily assigned tasks independently and accurately
Guidescomplex purchase requisitions and purchase orders for supplies equipment and services.
Competently use ERP solution to process orders document order confirmations review match exceptions run reports and guide end users on theappropriate useof ERP.
Effectivelyverify pricingthrough Supply Chains contract tools including but not restricted to contract lifecycle management (CLM) Group Buying Organization (GPO) and ERP solutions
toensure accuracy of associated purchase ordersitemsand invoicing. Submit supplier and item modifications through current processesand tools asidentifiedby Procurement for corrective action in the ERP.
Reviewsquotesfor accuracy.
Achieve specific purchasinggoals and also involveassistingto improveestablished purchasing procedures.
Respondspromptly to requests for service andassistanceas needed.
Other Requirements
Associates degreein a relevant field of studyfinance accounting business managementpreferred.
No specific certification or licensure required
4 years of purchasing or buyer experience (healthcare supply chain required)
3 years healthcarepurchasingagent experience (Required)
3 years Healthcare Procurement Software Systems/ERP (Required)
Experience managing purchase orders blanket purchase orders and vendor contracts
Experience working in a healthcare supply chain environment s
Strong ability to maintain accuracy compliance and documentation standards
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong understanding of contract terms and purchasing standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment
Strong computer and system proficiency
Excellent organization communication and follow-up skills
