Crown Collision Center in St. Petersburg FL is hiring a Mechanical Technician.
This position is for a skilled-level technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs on mechanical-related collision damages in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair and who has acquired necessary skills as a general service technician.
Two-Five (2-5) years of Technical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
- Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
- Notifies Estimator of any additional repairs needed.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Road tests vehicles when required.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment including respirator in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
- Diagnose service and repair vehicles in accordance with all manufacturers specifications and all applicable safety requirements.
- Ensures that customers cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Keeps shop area neat and clean.
- Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Understands keeps abreast of and complies with federal state and local regulations that affect body shop operations such as hazardous waste disposal OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Attends department meetings as requested.
- Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
- Other duties may be assigned based on companys needs.
Qualifications:
- Two-Five years technical experience preferred
- High School diploma or GED
- Manufacturer Certifications preferred
- ASE Certifications
- Lift up to 70 lbs.
Special Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
- Attention to detail imperative
- Interpersonal/communication skills and customer service skills.
- Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
