Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor - MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) with 10 years of experience including significant exposure to airport infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation budgeting and financial control for MEP works within airport construction projects. This role requires expertise in quantity take-offs cost analysis contract management and ensuring project delivery within budget and compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for MEP works related to airport infrastructure projects.

Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for MEP systems including HVAC electrical systems plumbing fire protection and specialized airport systems.

Assist in the preparation of tender documents including cost breakdowns and pricing schedules for MEP works.

Evaluate contractor and supplier bids for MEP systems ensuring alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.

Administer contracts for MEP works including preparation negotiation and management of variations and claims.

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve disputes in a timely manner.

Monitor project costs and expenditures for MEP works ensuring alignment with approved budgets.

Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions to mitigate financial risks.

Work closely with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting for MEP works.

Prepare and present regular cost reports forecasts and financial updates to senior management and clients.

Ensure all cost-related activities for MEP works comply with local regulations industry standards and airport-specific guidelines.

Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in MEP quantity surveying and airport infrastructure projects.


Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying for MEP works in large-scale infrastructure projects.

At least 5 years of experience in airport infrastructure projects including terminal buildings baggage handling systems HVAC systems and other airport-specific MEP systems.


Additional Information :

Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in cost estimation and reporting.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients contractors and internal teams.

Ability to identify cost-related challenges and provide effective solutions to ensure project success.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
