Job Summary
CEDA is currently seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician to join the Dredging and Fluid Management team in Sparwood BC. This is a long-term temporary site-based opportunity with camp and flights provided.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance on Stationary Diesel Engines Hydraulic Systems Trailer Units Dredges Barges & Marine equipment
- Ongoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines after treatment/emissions hydraulic systems and pumps
- Troubleshoot issues inspect equipment and replace or repair defective parts
- Interpret work orders
- Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled
- Ensure all health safety and environment practices and paperwork are complete for all day to day activities
- Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications
- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Red Seal required
- Experience in hydraulic electrical dredge and pump systems an asset
- Oil & Gas experience an asset
- Valid Class 5 license with less than 5 demerits
- Weight handling of up to 50 lbs
- Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Skills
- Youre happiest working in a team sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely
- Youre meticulous you have no problem completing the required paperwork for projects and jobs
- Your knowledge John Deere Cummins and CAT engines would set you up for success
- Youre flexible - willing to work an on-call schedule as needed and adapt to changing work environments
- Computers are your friend not your enemy
- Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems and the ability to provide your own tools would be assets.
