Great Yarmouth Racecourse is looking for a Retail Cellar Supervisor to join the team to assist in the set up and delivery of race days and events. Although this is a casual role; we are looking for someone who is available to work all of the racedays in the 2026 season along with 2 set up days and 1 breakdown day around the event days. This role will also offer the successful applicant work during March to enable the set up of the site ready for the season.
As a Retail Cellar Supervisor your day to day duties will involve:
Reporting to site supervisor/manager for general instruction.
The movement of both stock and equipment internally on site.
Keeping the site tidy presentable and safe.
Receiving and recording deliveries.
Cellar maintenance including changing barrels.
Line Cleaning.
Moving kegs.
Stock taking.
Setting rooms in preparation for race days and events.
As a Retail Cellar Supervisor you must be:
Physically fit as this role requires heavy lifting and long hours on foot.
Ability to work all of the event days as described.
Have a positive attitude.
Knowldge of COSHH and Cellar Management.
Have a desire to work in the hospitality industry.
Must be 18 or over due to the nature of the position.
A full driving licence would be an advantage.
Personal Licence and advantage.
Our Race Fixtures this season are:
April 11th. 21st and 30th
May 13th 20th and 28th
June 10th 11th and 26th
July 2nd 8th 15th 23rd and 28th
August 2nd 5th 14th and 30th
September 15th 16th and 17th
October 5th 12th and 20th
The successful applicant must be able to work the above dates plus set up days and breakdown days around these dates.
Our casual team receive various benefits whilst working for arc including meals on a race day and tickets to race meetings and other events across the group.
Being a member of the arc casual family does not restrict you to working at just Great Yarmouth Racecourse if you want to gain experience in other venues there are many opportunities to work across our group.
