Covia is seeking a Controlling Manager who will have a strategic impact within the Finance organization by coordinating accounting financial tax and control processes to ensure timely accurate and reliable information in compliance with local and international regulations.

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead and oversee accounting operations financial planning budget control and financial and tax consolidation providing clear financial insights that support business performance analysis and enable strategic decision-making while ensuring compliance with internal policies controls and corporate requirements.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee general tax and cost accounting as well as financial statements ensuring compliance with US/MEX and IFRS GAAP.

  • Analyze and explain monthly financial results by plant and on a consolidated basis identifying key variances and improvement opportunities.

  • Lead budgeting budget control financial forecasting and financial and operational planning processes.

  • Oversee fixed assets inventory and standard cost controls to ensure accurate valuation and informed decision-making.

  • Coordinate financial and tax consolidation processes and prepare financial reports for corporate reporting.

  • Lead and manage internal and external audits ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit commitments.

  • Manage and optimize accounts receivable and accounts payable processes maintaining a healthy and efficient portfolio.

  • Monitor and control capital investment projects (CAPEX) providing financial information to the Executive Committee.

  • Lead the Controllership team fostering talent development continuous improvement and achievement of departmental objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.

  • Solid experience in accounting cost management budgeting and financial and tax consolidation.

  • Advanced knowledge of US/MEX and IFRS GAAP.

  • Experience leading finance teams and internal control processes.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.

  • Ability to analyze complex information communicate financial results clearly and support strategic decision-making.

  • Advanced English proficiency for corporate reporting and interaction.
