The Team:
The Chilliwack Field Team is an established group of six experienced forest professionals including Registered Professional Foresters (RPFs) and Registered Forest Technologists (RFTs) who bring diverse knowledge and perspectives to their work. As part of this team youll collaborate with a wide range of specialistssuch as Engineering Officers Planning Foresters Silviculture experts GIS analysts Indigenous Relations teams and Business Administration staffwhile contributing to sustainable forest management that supports ecological cultural social and economic values for future generations. The Role:
As a Practices Forester youll take on a variety of responsibilities including operational planning designing cut blocks and forest roads and planning and evaluating silviculture activities to ensure sustainable forest management. Your work helps protect ecological values and supports communities by contributing to healthy forests that provide long-term social cultural and economic benefits. About this Position:
This position is located in Chilliwack.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established for similar vacancies within the BC Timber Sales Chinook Business Area Chilliwack.
Applicants who do not fully meet the required qualifications may be considered for this position but at a lower classification.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
