VIC DISTRIBUTION CENTRE CORPORATE VOLUNTEER one-off corporate volunteering opportunity Shift times 9.30am to 3.30pm Limited onsite parking (please consider car-pooling) Location: Retail Distribution Centre 89 Derrimut Road Derrimut 3026 On-site induction to be completed Duration approx. 15 minutesWhy Choose to volunteer with Red Cross Youll be helping Red Cross to support vulnerable people across Australia by supporting our fundraising activities Volunteer with the worlds largest humanitarian organisation Last year alone Australia wide our retail stores kept 2900 tonnes of donated items from going to landfill Its an opportunity to enhance your skills & knowledge & gain new experiencesThe programRed Cross Shops sell new and donated clothes accessories and homewares to raise funds to help people in need. Last year we rescued 2900 tonnes of clothing from landfill gave opportunities to 5000 volunteers and generated funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world. The proceeds from the sale of items support the vital everyday work of Red Cross providing relief in times of crisis and care where its needed opportunityOur brand-new Distribution Centre located in Derrimut is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with sorting and tagging donations. With this volunteer day youll get the opportunity to: Assist with sorting tagging and packing both new and preloved donated goods according to set standards & store requirements Help assess the quality and suitability of donated merchandise and address any quality issues Make friends and contribute your skills to help us raise money for those in need. No experience is necessary. Training and onsite induction impactThrough volunteering with Red Cross your contribution will help us procure quality donations which help to raise funds which bring care and comfort where its needed most.
