We host monthly appreciation events and our internal learning and development team provides the resources for employees to engage in continuing education and required: A Masters degree in Nursing Practice or a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice Valid state medical licensure (Advance Practice Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner) Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office SuiteQualifications desired: Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Certified Medical Examiner registered to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) Physicals One to three years experience and certified in drug screen testing breath alcohol testing pulmonary function testing fit testing audiometric applications administering vaccinations and physical assessments urgent care assessment and treatment and X-Rays Valid state certification/licensure to perform X-Rays for medical purposes BilingualEssential functions and responsibilities: Performs drug screen collections following DOT specimen collections guidelines Performs occupational injury assessment and treatment Performs X-Rays for medical purposes Performs breath alcohol testing using Intoximeter evidential breath testers (EBTs) such as the Alco-Sensor IV and RBT IV following DOT alcohol testing guidelines Performs hair collections following Psychemedics guidelines Performs pulmonary function testing using the Spiro USB system or other systems/instruments following all OSHA Guidelines Performs audiometric testing following OSHA guidelines Reviews respirator medical evaluation questionnaires (MEQ) according to OSHA standards for clearance Performs respiratory fit testing using the TSI Portacount following all OSHA Guidelines for quantitative fit testing Performs blood draws via venipuncture and finger stick methods Performs physical assessments in accordance with DOT/FMCSA guidelines OSHA industry and employer guidelines Performs vaccinations Reviews all service center MEQs results of testing services and appropriate documentation Maintains client records in a confidential manner Ensures all occupational health paperwork is entered into DISAWorks (a proprietary database) Accessible by phone and email during and after normal working hours to other service center personnelNonessential skills and experience: Performs other related duties as assignedSuccess factors/job competencies: Achievement Focus sets and achieves challenging goals demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles recognizes and acts on opportunities measures self against standards of excellence and takes calculated risks to accomplish goals Business Ethics upholds organizational values inspires the trust of others works with integrity and works ethically treats people with respect and keeps commitments Continuous Learning assesses own strengths and weaknesses seeks feedback to improve performance pursues training and development opportunities strives to continuously build knowledge and skills and shares expertise with others Customer Service displays courtesy and sensitivity manages difficult or emotional customer situations meets commitments responds promptly to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve service Job Knowledge is competent in required job skills and knowledge exhibits the ability to learn and apply new skills keeps abreast of current developments requires minimal supervision displays an understanding of how the job relates to others and uses resources effectively Quality demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness displays a commitment to excellence looks for ways to improve and promote quality applies feedback to improve performance and monitors own work to ensure quality Teamwork balances team and individual responsibilities exhibits objectivity and openness to others views gives and welcomes feedback contributes to building a positive team spirit and puts the success of the team above ones ownPhysical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
