They are responsible for ensuring accuracy of matched data and thorough research to identify our members repertoire using SOCANs systems in order to maximize royalties and accuracy of payment to our members in a timely manner. WHAT YOULL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIESVerification of data received for completeness and accuracyResearch member repertoire for songs/cues on SOCANs internal databases Identify and link unmatched usage/performances to songs/cues registered in SOCANs internal databasesReview and verification of matched usage/performances for accuracy of payment and make necessary corrections of any incorrect matched usageReview and make necessary corrections of matched usage with pending status to help improve learned match and accuracy of payment for future distributionsLiaising with Queries team as required to resolve complex queries from members and/or foreign societiesProactively advise Team Lead of any potential efficiency and process improvements Other duties as requiredWHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma/equivalent or work-related experienceKnowledge or experience in the Music Industry or Performing Rights is an asset Knowledge of copyright or writer/publisher song splits Computer literacy required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteExcel/WordExcellent organizational and research skills Fluent in both English and French an assetCOMPETENCIESProblem solving and decision making Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to creating a strong team dynamicAbility to work independently and set priorities to meet deadlines Accuracy and detail oriented AnalyticalResults orientedThoroughEfficientProactiveAdaptability and flexibilityACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONSOCAN is committed to providing an inclusive workplace environment that meets the accessibility needs of employees with disabilities.
