Job Summary

Kadiak LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Chief Engineer to support Kadiak and our government customer in Butte MT.

Leadership:

  • Direct workforce and manage workload.
  • Supervise plan inspect and manage quality.
  • Distribute work orders and PM tasks.
  • Report to PM.
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members.


Technical Expertise:

  • Lead maintenance diagnostics and repairs on complex HVAC systems.
  • Operate and understand building Energy Management Systems.
  • Work with electronic electrical and pneumatic controls/instruments.
  • Analyze modify and upgrade control systems with proper support of vendors and approval of the CO/COR.
  • Read blueprints schematics and manufacturer instructions.


Project Management:

  • Research specifications and make installation corrections.
  • Assist with estimating projects.
  • Install new equipment and instruments and ensure operability.


Administration:

  • Handle paperwork associated with daily work.
  • Engage and collaborate with PCC to support scope of work.
  • Maintain communication with Government during normal hours and emergencies.


Administrative:

  • Enter/update service requests in NCMMS (MAXIMO).
  • Close out work orders and maintenance actions.
  • Assist with reporting requirements.
  • Manage approved vendor lists.


Versatility:

  • Perform as General Maintenance Worker and Groundskeeper as needed in emergencies.
  • Position listed on Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) as Stationary Engineer dedicated to management not routine service requests or PM coverage plans required for absences over five business days.
  • Plan lead assist and perform the maintenance diagnostic testing overhauling installation and effects repairs on various sophisticated refrigeration dehumidification air-conditioning ventilation and heating systems equipment serving critically controlled environmental installations.
  • Work on controls and instrumentation for refrigeration and HVAC systems as needed to maintain operations.
  • Work on electronic electrical and pneumatic instruments and controls such as pneumatic to electronic transducers valves and valve positions ring balance meters differential pressure transmitters pneumatic feedback controllers electronic and pneumatic temperature pressure and flow measuring and transmitting devices microcomputers watt load chillers and electronic/pneumatic graph recorders as needed to maintain operations.
  • Assist with investigating major equipment failures where instrumentation or controls may involve associated equipment or functions.
  • US Citizen High School Diploma or GED
  • 4 years of experience working as a licensed mechanic


Experience:

  • 3 of the last 5 years experience in a facility similar in size and scope as maintenance specifications require.
  • Experience in theory related to the electronic electrical and pneumatic instrumentation controls and methods of testing.
  • Experience in electronic electrical and pneumonic instrument and control work associated with industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • CFC Certification Universal Certifications: NATE HVAC Excellence Professional Light Commercial Air Conditioning Gas Heat and Green Awareness Certification UA Star Mastery Certification.
