The Role

The Client Advocate is responsible for cultivating and maintaining client relationships that includes leading strategy development and execution. They have ownership of the E365 Service plan engaging expert resources and leading pricing and profitability efforts. The CA arranges WTW resources to provide coordinated service and placement to meet the clients insurance and risk management needs. A Client Advocate should be the top Relationship Management colleague for accounts to which they are assigned. An CA has a strong connection to the clients business and a fundamental understanding of its industry thus this relationship is a business partnership with client decision makers. They are ultimately responsible for client retention client profitability and delivery of all outcomes for their assigned clients. The Client Advocate (CA) is responsible for maximizing revenue from existing clients. Needs to be comfortable upselling the client and growing the account. The CA will lead RFPs oral presentations and pitches. As a senior member of the organization you will have additional responsibility serving as:

  • A mentor to colleagues
  • A Subject Matter Expert for one or more lines of business
  • A Team Leader

This role offers a hybrid working opportunity with some required office time and travel to client locations based out of any US location.

The Responsibilities

  • Retains existing book of business and develop and strengthen client relationships recognized as primary client relationship contact
  • Contributes to new business opportunities for new clients and develops business opportunities with existing clients
  • Drives the RFP response process including review identification and coordination of resources and expertise required and ultimate document ownership
  • Engages with sales and broking to understand marketplace changes
  • Establishes comprehensive understanding of clients industry business and objectives
  • Provides strategic planning and consulting advice to clients; monitors insurance and risk management needs in collaboration with WTW resource practice and industry groups. Recommends appropriate solutions throughout the policy term (including acquisition due diligence)
  • Drives creation and delivery of E365 Plan and Client Stewardship report
  • Identifies engages and integrates delivery of all WTW internal resources to deliver on the client experience
  • Leads and mentors account team members
  • Maximizes the profitability and retention of their book of business
  • Negotiates creates and delivers fee/compensation agreements to clients
  • Informs clients insurance program design and strategy by working in conjunction with Broking to ensure utilization of appropriate analytical tools
  • Drives design and delivery of client presentations/proposals client advocacy reports client service plans and schedules
  • Drives the renewal process to establish and implement the client-specific renewal strategy. Collaborates with WTW resource practice and industry groups to develop and deliver renewal to clients.
  • Ensures Group policy requirements (legal regulatory & compliance) are met
  • Other duties as identified and appropriate to ensure exceptional client experience

Qualifications

The Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • 5 years of commercial Property & Casualty experience in a client-facing role.
  • Expertise in public sector risk programs such as education-specific clients (schools municipalities higher education institutions charter networks state agencies and special districts) and/or government contractor clients.
  • Strong understanding of governmental risk exposures (public safety transportation fleets utilities parks & recreation public facilities emergency services).
  • Experience managing large multi-location property schedules (schools municipal buildings infrastructure assets).
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of coverage forms for program design gap analysis and ongoing consultation.
  • Ability to interpret underwriting submissions exposure schedules loss runs COPE data and actuarial evaluations.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement processes (RFPs competitive bidding compliance requirements).
  • Familiarity with public entity pooling (risk-sharing pools captives self-insured structures).
  • In-depth knowledge of public sector policies and endorsements across relevant lines (property liability auto law enforcement cyber crime/fidelity).
  • Analytical & Presentation Skills:
  • Ability to interpret analyze and present analytical models.
  • Comfort presenting to public boards councils and committees including program updates and renewal strategies.
  • Professional Skills:
  • Relationship management: leverage internal/external resources to meet client needs.
  • Negotiation: develop creative solutions drive consensus and resolve conflicts.
  • Project management: oversee large complex projects end-to-end.
  • Leadership: advocate for change provide clear guidance and collaborate effectively.
  • Licensing & Credentials:
  • Must maintain P&C broker license and complete continuing education.
  • Professional designations preferred (CPCU ARM CIC CRIS CRM AINS ARPM).

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors including but not limited to location of the role individual competencies education/professional certifications qualifications/experience performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $130000 $170000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
