Your ideas are our positions would be located at our Calgary Alberta : PermanentFull-timeNumber of Vacancies: 11Duties & ResponsibilitiesQualified to perform systems installation tasks under the supervision of a licensed MaintenanceTechnician in an AMO environmentResponsible to the assigned leader and have ability to take direction verbally and through printed mediaBasic knowledge of Standard Practices and MechanicsSystems accurately interpret maintenance manuals service bulletins wiring diagrams system schematics engineering orders test documents manufacturers installation manualsHave a basic understanding of other aircraft systems i.e. hydraulic flight controls and major componentsInstall maintain troubleshoot and repair Mechanicssystems and equipment including powerplant flight control hydraulic landing gear and electricalPerform system checks and inspections to ensure Mechanicssystems comply with industry and safety standardsKeep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipmentMaintain a clean work area and alert the leadership team of any safety concerns; take immediate action or report immediately any unsafe conditionsResponsible for ensuring both accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on AircraftPerform other work as assigned and willing to work shift workProperly utilize Maintenancetest equipment to perform systems tests. Properly utilize and maintain Mechanicshand tools to perform installations and repairsSafely operate ground support equipment i.e. Power carts lifts (when properly trained) etc. as requiredEducation & ExperienceMust have 5 years experience working on the Dash 8Classic Q400 and or CL Waterbombers hold be working towards and or eligible to obtain a current AME M Transport Canada license or hold a similar license from your home countryPositive attitude and strong work ethicDemonstrated organizational skills and attention to detailAble to work effectively independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills and familiarity with InternetGood oral and written communication skills in EnglishExperience with all De Havilland Aircraft of Canada products consider an assetExperience with all De Havilland Aircraft of Canada products and their avionics suite is considered an assetHave experience with general aircraft wiring repair fabrication and installationPossess the knowledge expected of an Aircraft Avionics and Electronics Technician on aircraft typeshandled by the companyPhysical Requirements Ability to work Monday Friday Day Shift Ability to work in confined spaces and at heightsAbility to lift heavy objects up to 50 to acquire a Transport Canada-issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)Some travel may be required between De Havilland Canada sites (maximum 10%).Position opening: Aircraft Maintenance Technologist - MechanicsCompany Name: De Havilland CanadaBusiness Address: 4100 Westwinds Dr NECalgary AB T3J 4L2Language of Work: EnglishTerm: Permanent full-timeSalary: $38-46/hr CAD.
