YOUR ROLE
The team structure is as below:
l Direct report to one of the Tech Leads
l Collaborating with 35 peer developers and test engineer(s) within the team
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for:
- Proactive to understand the business cases make sure to stand on the same page with product and development team. Provide the implementation testability and effort estimation.
- Build and execute automation scripts according to the test plan and report the test result quantitatively.
- Write/review the test cases according to the user stories and maintain the test case repository to make sure they are up to date.
- Lead the test plan generation and validation including both functional test stress test and security test. Organize testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Follow up on issues addressed during the test execution and implement post-production monitoring/alert mechanism. Take part in support engineering and troubleshooting for re-producing verifying and following up issues.
- Drive improvements to quality assurance and identify gaps.
Top challenges in the upcoming 3 years:
Adapting to new testing methodologies for emerging technologies automating tests in a continuously evolving CI/CD pipeline maintaining test accuracy and relevance with rapid release cycles integrating AI and machine learning into testing processes ensuring data privacy and compliance in test environments and managing the complexity of testing in increasingly fragmented and distributed systems.
YOUR PROFILE
- Fluent in automated tests tools for functional/performance/load/security test against API/Web/Mobile App
- Extended experience in working with software development teams and using software QA methodologies.
- Experience in software requirement review and validation especially the requirements in user story format including functional and non-functional requirements.
- Extensive experience in test plan creation and validation
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles
- Self-motivated ability to work independently and handle multi-task with priorities.
- Work with deadlines and Can Do attitude.
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Proactive in problem-solving can weigh up complex options to reach the right decision.
