Job Description:
L3Harris Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician B to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City Utah facility.
Essential Functions:
- Sets up basic manufacturing apparatus and completes assembly following methods procedures standards and operations sequences.
- Ability to work from both oral and written English instructions engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Able to personally lift and carry up to 32 lbs.
- Physical effort will range from light to heavy lifting and may include occasional heavy team lifting to 75 lbs. standing bending kneeling & stooping.
- Documents assembly data and results provides initial documentation of failed products.
- Works to achieve operational targets within the functional area.
- Able to work in both team and individual contributor roles with minimal supervision.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects targeting waste affecting product quality cost and schedule or other items of value to the business.
- Maintain professional standards of performance demeanor and judgment at all times as detailed in company policy and procedure.
- Willing to work overtime as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft suite and personal computing devices.
- Familiar with electronics manufacturing processes including soldering hand tools and ESD practices.
- IPC 610/620 Certification.
