DescriptionYou will report directly to our Production Supervisor and youll work out of our Phoenix Arizona location on an Onsite work this role the Assembly Mechanic Level 2 is responsible for performing intermediate level disassembly inspection repair and assembly of aircraft engines modules and related components within the Sky Harbor Repair & Overhaul (R&O) facility. This role ensures all work is completed in accordance with established technical data regulatory requirements and company quality and safety standards. The position requires demonstrated mechanical proficiency the ability to follow detailed work instructions and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of workmanship and compliance.
Work is performed in a regulated aircraft engine overhaul facility and may require standing for extended periods lifting components and working with specialized tools and personal protective equipment.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Disassemble inspect repair and reassemble aircraft engine modules and subassemblies in accordance with OEM manuals service bulletins and engineering instructions.
- Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects wear or nonconformances and document findings accurately.
- Execute approved repair processes including part replacement precision fitting torquing and component preparation.
- Utilize calibrated tools precision measuring instruments and specialized equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
- Complete all required documentation including work orders inspection records and traceability logs in compliance with FAA EASA and internal quality requirements.
- Adhere to all safety environmental and facility policies ensuring a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Operations personnel to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to Assembly Mechanic Level 1 personnel as needed.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings maintenance manuals and work instructions.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers calipers and dial indicators.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of gas turbine engine fundamentals.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail.
