We are looking to hire an ISO Chassis Mechanic to maintain trailer chassis by installing and repairing brakes suspension parts pneumatic and hydraulic system parts. This colleague must be a certified welder.
Shift Hours: Monday through Friday start between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM 8 hour shift
This position is for our Channelview TX branch at 16230 DeZavala Road.
Pay Range: $17.00 to $37.00 per hour dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair frames and metal truck trailers
- Modify and reconstruct chassis
- Installing electric wiring for dome lights and tailgates
- Fitting and assembling components
- Use hand tools and portable power tools
- Weld (Certification required) as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a Certified Welder (Certification must be shown upon time welding test is given)
- Must have at least 3 years experience as a Chassis/Trailer Mechanic
- Possess strong communication skills
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to effectively prioritize work
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- High school diploma or GED
