Job Description:
A Jr. Purchase Managerassists with procurement handling purchase orders tracking deliveries maintaining supplier records and building vendor relationships focusing on cost-effectiveness and quality while supporting senior managers in strategy and negotiation requiring strong organizational communication and analytical skills for timely acquisition of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Processing: Review and process purchase orders ensuring accuracy.
- Vendor Support: Assist in identifying evaluating and building relationships with suppliers.
- Tracking & Monitoring: Monitor deliveries track orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Inventory Support: Help coordinate with managers to monitor stock levels and identify supply needs.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of goods ordered and received.
- Process Improvement: Assist in analyzing and implementing improvements to purchasing processes.
- Negotiation Assistance: Support senior staff in negotiating prices and contracts.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain or related field often preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is essential.
- Skills: Strong negotiation communication (written/verbal) organization and analytical skills are crucial.
- Knowledge: Understanding of market trends procurement software and cost management.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented problem-solver good judgment and a positive attitude.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Communicating with internal teams (sales marketing) and external suppliers.
- Researching potential vendors and comparing pricing/services.
- Managing supplier performance and resolving issues.
- Staying updated on industry trends and new procurement technologies.
