Join a dynamic team at J.P. Morgan where youll play a key role in supporting global clients and optimizing margin and treasury operations in Futures & Derivatives Clearing Global Equity Operations. Make an impact by driving process improvements and collaborating across international teams.

As a Cleared Margin Client Service and Treasury Operations Associate I in Global Equity Operations team you will manage range of tasks including settling margin values (Cash Securities Letters of Credit) with clients cash funding global non-cash collateral settlements Foreign Exchange (FX) trade processing reconciliation and break resolution settling margin obligations at Central Counterparties and owning the full life cycle of the underlying securities trades of expired options and futures. You will work closely with global teams ensuring timely settlements and maintaining a controlled environment that supports business growth and regulatory compliance for Futures & Options and Over-The-Counter (OTC) Cleared Derivatives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manageand optimize client collateral while monitoring its movement.
  • Respondto incoming margin settlement requests from clients compare them to JP Morgans exposure and agree on the amount and type of asset to be moved.
  • Drivecontinued development of the Clearing Client Service offering.
  • Ensuretimely settlement of trades with exchanges and clients;follow uppromptly on any failed settlements.
  • Fundexchange cash accounts accurately andprocessclient Foreign Exchange (FX) transactions.
  • Preventclient payments from resulting in deficits andfollow upon counterparty issues.
  • Maintaina controlled environment by adhering to and updating operational procedures.
  • Reportsignificant issues to managementrespondquickly to internal inquiriessupportreconciliationsresolvediscrepancies andassistwith reporting and root cause analysis.
  • Handlead hoc management requests operational investigations and audit requirements.
  • Reviewprocesses regularlysuggestimprovementsimplementenhancementsparticipatein strategic Straight-Through Processing (STP) initiatives andmanagecomplex change requests.
  • Ensurefull compliance with all control and educational requirements.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills:

  • Previous Operations experience of Futures and Options (Cleared & Over-The-Counter (OTC)) or similar background.
  • Working knowledge of client service cash funding global settlements & reconciliations.
  • Strong problem-solving & strategic thinking and should be able to develop solutions for clients and drive process improvements.
  • Should possess high accuracy & attention to detailmaintain precision and highly numerate with strong proficiency in Excel and core systems.
  • Must possess strong communication skills as the role involves detailed interactions across multiple lines of business and core processing areas.
  • Shouldbe able to work methodically adhering to strict deadlines and perform well under pressure.
  • Ability to proactively identify risks and confidently challenge stakeholders when controls may be compromised.
  • Should collaborate efficiently support team goals and foster a positive team environment.
  • Eager to learn asks the right questions and adapts to new challenges.
  • Take responsibility for mistakes shares lessons learned and embrace feedback for growth.
  • Strong analytical abilities and enthusiasm for digital automation tools.

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills:

  • Experience with global margin settlements and multi-currency operations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to process improvement and strategic project initiatives.
  • Ability to manage complex change requests within derivatives operations.
  • Experience supporting audit and operational investigations.
  • Knowledge of digital automation tools such as Alteryx.
  • Experience working with global teams across multiple locations.

Work Schedule:

This role is full time in office Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm and is located in Chicago IL only. It does not offer relocation assistance or immigration sponsorship.

This position requires that you attend the training as scheduled. The hours may not coincide with your regularly scheduled hours.
