Job Summary

The Screw Machine Operator is responsible for independently operating and optimizing assigned machinery to achieve high productivity precision and consistent product quality. This role involves advanced machine operation set-up and troubleshooting to address complex machine issues improve performance and meet strict quality standards. The Operator also plays a key role in driving continuous process improvements and ensuring smooth operations.

Job Details

Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Work Location: Onsite - Mooresville North Carolina 28115

Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Shift: 3rd shift 9:45pm - 6:00am

Key Responsibilities

  • Run assigned mechanical equipment

  • Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements

  • Perform moderately advanced troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments

  • Read and interpret blueprints if applicable Use moderately advanced measuring instruments

  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g. maintain cleanliness of work area etc.) Follow all Safety Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to interpret work instructions

  • Proficient in following written and verbal directions Intermediate verbal and written communication skills

  • Intermediate mathematical skills Intermediate use of required gaging instruments

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Proficiency in handling complex issues and problems

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Required to stand for extended periods.

  • Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Frequent bending and stooping required. M

  • Must have the dexterity to handle small objects. Must be able to work in noisy environments.
