Key Responsibilities

Lays out fits and assembles parts to make repair cutting tools jogs fixtures gauges dies or machinists hand tools.
Sets up and operates all tool room equipment
Studies blueprints to determine machining to be done and plans layout and assembly or copies existing parts.
Produces new tools parts etc. for machines and equipment.
Repairs/rewords tools dies machine parts and performs similar work.
Makes inspection when required of parts tools etc.
Performs bench work related to job assigned.
Supplies own tools normally used in a journeymans trade.
Responsible for lubrication maintenance and car of tool room equipment.
May assist General Maintenance or Machine Repair/Rebuild Person in measuring fitting installation or replacement of parts where his skills is required.
Responsible for cleanliness of work area and machines.
Reports to supervision unusual difficulties or conditions regarding machines tools and equipment.
Completes job or daily job card.
Assist in training new hires or apprentices.

Qualifications (Required):

Education: High School Diploma
Certification: Journeymans Card; or eight years related experience technical degree and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience to acquire Journeymans card.
