Position Summary
The Systems Engineer II within the Reprocessing business will be responsible for testing and implementing new features as well as enhancing existing ones. This position reports to the Engineering R&D Director and serves as the technical stakeholder leading system-level V&V building automated and semi-automated test infrastructures to improve system quality and consistency while working within the project constraints of schedule cost performance quality and reliability objectives.
Duties
- Drive refinement and translation of stakeholder requirements including safety clinical application serviceability manufacturability reliability quality etc.
- Designs implements and tests applications according to corporate policies and business operating procedures on engineering projects.
- Collaborates with team members to propagate good design principles and development practices across the team.
- Investigates new technologies and tools.
- Participate in cross-discipline feasibility and tradeoff studies drive system-level design & technical reviews.
- Participate in defect management risk management usability activities preparation of documentation system integration verification and validation.
- Collaborate with Project Management to provide V&V Systems related tasks and timelines.
- Assist in selection of new components such as valves motors sensors materials controls etc.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure that products meet user needs and that all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
- Assists in system integration (follow up analysis problem solving) verification and validation.
Education Degree
Masters Degree in Engineering General
Required Experience & Competencies
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in systems engineering.
- Applies new technical tools and concepts under the direction of others.
- Previous experience working with regulatory authorities and standards such as ASME CRN PED UL ISO MDR CE or FDA.
- Proven ability to lead the evolution of complex systems requiring evaluation of multiple candidate solutions and significant evaluation of intangibles.
- Ability to participate in or lead technical analysis including the evaluation of multiple reward solutions.
- Capability to propose and develop methods techniques and evaluation criteria to realize product functionality.
- Proven excellence in technical leadership within a matrix environment including the ability to influence indirect resources.
- Excellent communication influencing and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
- English knowledge: minimun B2
This position requires knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties involved including regular communications outside the province of Quebec training email communications and frequent meetings and interactions with English- only employees.
