Job Summary

Position Title: Delivery Excellence Enabler (DEx)
Location: Chennai / Bangalore / Hyderabad

Role Overview
Delivery Excellence (REx) is at the core of Cognizant’s commitment to delivering best-in-class services to clients. The Delivery Excellence Enabler plays a key role in driving consistent high-quality compliant and efficient service delivery by embedding best practices strengthening governance proactively identifying and managing risks enabling security and compliance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across infrastructure and cloud engagements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Governance & Process Improvement

  • Establish and enforce delivery governance frameworks to ensure consistency quality and compliance across infrastructure and cloud projects.
  • Apply strong ITIL knowledge across the service lifecycle - from service design and transition to operations.
  • Identify process inefficiencies quality gaps and operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Influence and partner with Delivery teams to adopt and adhere to the Delivery Excellence and Quality frameworks.
  • Review complex contracts and statements of work (SOWs) to identify delivery risks obligations and gaps.

2. Risk Security & Compliance Management

  • Proactively identify highlight analyze and manage delivery operational financial and security risks across accounts and projects.
  • Actively surface potential risks early (delivery slippage resource constraints dependency risks security vulnerabilities compliance gaps etc.) and ensure they are visible to leadership.
  • Facilitate structured risk governance including risk registers risk reviews and escalation mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to define track and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Drive adherence to the organizational Risk Management framework and ensure risks are reviewed and updated regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational regulatory and industry standards including security and audit requirements.

3. Assessments Audits & Quality Assurance

  • Plan and execute ITIL-based assessments across processes such as Incident Problem Change Release Event Availability Configuration and Capacity Management.
  • Drive and monitor ISO 20000 compliance and support internal and external quality audits.
  • Act as an Assessor during project delivery leading and executing comprehensive assessments and audits across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Document audit findings track non-conformities and guide delivery teams to closure and sustained compliance.

4. Metrics Reporting & Performance Management

  • Define monitor and analyze key delivery metrics and KPIs aligned to business outcomes.
  • Track and report Service Level Agreements (SLAs) perform root cause analysis for breaches and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Prepare and present dashboards and performance reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Track project health in terms of scope schedule cost quality and risks and provide actionable insights.

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement through automation innovation and adoption of industry best practices.
  • Leverage data analytics and tools such as Pareto analysis FMEA and trend analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in IT cloud and service management to modernize delivery practices.
  • Lead or contribute to training workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

6. Stakeholder & Client Engagement

  • Partner with delivery leaders project managers and technical teams to align delivery with business objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between delivery teams and senior leadership providing transparent updates on delivery health risks and improvement actions.
  • Engage with clients and senior stakeholders to ensure expectations are met or exceeded and lead remediation where dissatisfaction exists.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8 –10 years of experience in infrastructure or cloud delivery quality management or service governance roles.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of ITIL processes and lifecycle-based delivery.
  • Proven experience in proactively identifying highlighting assessing and managing risks across delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of security practices in infrastructure and cloud environments.
  • Experience with audits assessments and compliance programs.
  • Ability to interpret metrics SLAs and operational data to drive measurable improvements.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • ITIL V3/ ITIL 4 certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green/Black Belt).
  • Assessment and audit experience
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
