Your Responsibilities
Curriculum Excellence: Design and implement a broad balanced curriculum that meets the unique interests of every child in your room.
Staff Management: Direct the daily workflow of your team ensuring tasks are delegated fairly and everyone remains engaged.
Observation & Assessment: Oversee the Key Person system within your room ensuring all learning journals are up-to-date and accurate.
Behavior Modeling: Use positive reinforcement strategies to manage behavior and support childrens social and emotional development.
Compliance: Ensure the room meets all OFSTED requirements including health and safety checks and risk assessments.
Requirements
Key Requirements
We are looking for a practitioner who is as organized as they are creative.
Qualifications: Level 3 Childcare qualification (or higher) is essential.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an Early Years setting with a track record of delivering high-quality Intent Implementation and Impact.
Leadership: Experience supervising others conducting room meetings or mentoring junior staff/apprentices.
Curriculum Knowledge: Expert knowledge of the EYFS including tracking progress identifying gaps in learning and preparing children for their transition to school.
Attributes: High energy a can-do attitude and the ability to stay calm and professional during the busy nursery day.
