Your New Role and Responsibilities

AtLeidos Australia our Matrix Engineering Team is a hub of technical excellence supporting mission-critical programs across Defence Intelligence and Federal Government portfolios.

As a Cloud Engineer you will:

• Architect and deploy secure scalable and cost-effective cloud environments that align with business needs.
• Oversee cloud resources (compute storage networking) across platforms like AWS Azure and GCP ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Plan and execute migration of applications and data from on-premises systems to cloud platforms ensuring minimal disruption.
• Develop scripts and workflows using tools like Terraform Ansible or CloudFormation to automate deployments and optimise resource usage.
• Implement robust security measures monitor compliance and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to protect cloud environments.

What Youll Bring to Make an Impact

• Hands-on experience with AWS Azure and Google Cloud services including compute storage networking and IAM.
• Expertise in tools like Terraform Ansible and CloudFormation for automated deployments and configuration management.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerised applications in cloud environments.
• Strong skills in Python Bash and PowerShell for automation plus familiarity with languages like Java or Go for cloud-native development.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices VPC design VPNs load balancers and compliance frameworks.
