Role Overview

As the Development Manager Cloud Infrastructure you will thrive in an environment where technical excellence and continuous growth are core values.

Location: Montreal Quebec (Hybrid / Flexible Remote). 100% remote work is available from anywhere within Canada provided the candidate can attend - two mandatory in-person meetings per year in Montreal

Reporting to the Platform Director you will be granted significant autonomy to:
  • Shape strategic roadmaps and ensure the peak performance of cloud ecosystems.

  • Build structure and inspire a high-performing SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) team.

  • Serve as a technical cornerstone for the organizations major strategic initiatives.

Tech Stack: Azure Cloud Kubernetes Terraform Python Go Linux.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and advance a team of 3 to 6 SRE engineers within an inclusive and collaborative culture.

  • Technical Excellence: Uphold the robustness and scalability of solutions by implementing rigorous quality standards.

  • Strategic Alignment: Bridge the gap between technical requirements and business objectives in partnership with Product and Design teams.

  • Project Governance: Oversee delivery cycles anticipate technical risks and resolve bottlenecks to maintain momentum.

  • Talent Development: Conduct regular one-on-ones design personalized career paths and facilitate knowledge sharing.

  • Work-Life Harmony: Monitor sustainable workloads and advocate for a healthy professional balance.



Profil

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in IT including at least 5 years in technical leadership or management roles.

  • Technical Breadth: Comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle (Full-stack) and production support.

  • Communication: Natural ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.

  • Strategic Mindset: Analytical approach focused on continuous improvement and high-level problem-solving.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven track record in mobilizing teams and building strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Remuneration: Competitive base salary plus remote work stipends. Firm estimation: $130k $160k CAD based on expertise.
