About the Role

Our client is seeking a Junior Auditor to support nonprofit audit and attestation engagements. This is a hands-on training-supported role for someone early in their public accounting career who wants strong fundamentals in testing documentation and audit methodology.

In this position youll assist with fieldwork perform substantive testing and prepare clear well-organized workpapers that support audit conclusions. Youll work closely with senior team members gain exposure to nonprofit clients and build confidence across core audit areas in a fully remote environment with strong work/life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Support nonprofit audit review and attestation engagements through planning fieldwork and completion.

  • Assist with controls testing by following audit programs documenting procedures performed and summarizing results.

  • Tie out financial statements and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.

  • Maintain clean well-organized workpapers that are review-ready and align with firm standards.

  • Apply firm methodology consistently (Knowledge Coach experience is a plus; training provided).

  • Participate in client communications as appropriate with support from the engagement team.



Requirements

  • 1 year of public accounting audit experience (nonprofit exposure is a plus)

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting (or related field); working toward CPA eligibility preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn audit concepts and documentation standards.

  • Comfort working in Excel and learning audit software/tools.

  • Organized deadline-aware and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance.

  • Clear communicator who can ask good questions and incorporate feedback quickly.

  • Able to work fully remotely with a reliable home setup.
