The Japanese Program is one of ten programs in the Department of World Languages and Cultures which is housed in the College of Letters and Science. The program offers language classes up to eighth semester and culture classes in both English and Japanese at both lower and upper division levels. Students have the option to major or minor or earn an Asian Studies Certificate.

Two or moreyearsofteachingexperienceatthepost-secondarylevel or at least 4yearsteaching at the primary intermediate or secondary levels.

Abilitytoworkcollaborativelywithinadiverseacademiccommunity.
Minimum Superior (ACTFL) or C2 (CEFR) level ability in all Japanese language skills: listening readingspeakingand writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience organizing events.
Experience using the course management system Canvas.
Experience developing Open Access Resources for student use.
Ability to teach either Chinese or Korean language.
