As a Locum Cardiologist you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of cardiovascular conditions collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. This role is essential in delivering timely and effective medical services within our facility contributing to our mission of improving patient health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with cardiovascular issues
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide patient care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health and prevention strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with regulations
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology and medical practices
- Provide guidance and support to junior medical staff as required
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Cardiology is preferred
- Associate level experience in a clinical setting
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills related to cardiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of current medical practices and technologies in cardiology
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 8 or 9-hour shifts 5 days per week
Call shifts required
Patient Volume: 12-18 per day
Patient Appointment Times: 20 minutes per follow-up 40 minutes per new patient
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
