Description of Work
Position will serve as Administrative Specialist I in the Chatham County Maintenance Office located in Siler City. Duties include answering telephone; radio communications; greeting customers; maintaining departments inventory for items stocked; processing payroll and invoices in SAP; operating computer for data entry typing correspondence and reports such as accident and workers compensation; and other duties as assigned by the County Maintenance Engineer. Position is subject to work nights and weekends as needed during inclement weather.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Grade NC08 Salary Range $37782 - $66120

Applicant must have the ability to work independently; prioritize daily tasks; independently process technical information; follow oral and written instructions; operate copy machine fax machine multi-line telephone system and scanner. Applicant should be able to present information clearly and concisely in oral and written form in order to communicate with the public DOTemployees and governmental officials.
Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
