Responsibilities

Strategic Network Design:Lead the end-to-end setup and execution of Ocean and Air freight lanes for new vehicle programs employingValue Engineeringprinciples to balance cost speed and reliability.
Operational Excellence & Disruption Management:Oversee daily global freight operations utilizing advancedproblem-solving techniques(e.g. 8D 5-Whys) to mitigate delays space constraints and equipment shortages.
Digital Transformation & AI Integration:Support the integration ofArtificial Intelligence (AI)and machine learning tools to enhance volume forecasting predictive ETAs and proactive risk management.
Advanced Data Visualization:Design and maintain interactivePower BIdashboards to provide real-time visibility into the global pipeline converting complex datasets into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement (Kaizen):Drive aKaizenculture by identifying incremental process improvements and leading cross-functional workshops to eliminate waste in the inbound supply chain.
Financial Optimization (TVM):Identify and execute high-impact cost-saving initiatives to achieveTotal Value Management (TVM)targets through lane optimization and improved container utilization.
Process Automation:LeveragePower Automateand other low-code solutions to digitize manual workflows reducing administrative lead time and improving data integrity.
Strategic Partnership Management:Lead high-level KPI reviews with Global Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) driving accountability and fostering innovation in service delivery.
Market Intelligence:Monitor global shipping trends including Blank Sailings and Port congestion to develop agile contingency plans for the IMG network.

Qualifications

Candidate Specification

Education:B.E / with an MBA in Supply Chain Logistics or Operations.
Experience:47 years of experience in global logistics preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector with a proven track record of managing complex international networks.
Problem-Solving Expertise:Strong command of structuredproblem-solving techniques(Lean Six Sigma Root Cause Analysis or A3 thinking) to resolve operational bottlenecks.
Technical Proficiency:
- Data Visualization:Expert-level skills inPower BIor Tableau for creating executive-level analytics.
- Automation:Hands-on experience withPower AppsandPower Automate.
- AI Curiosity:Familiarity with howAI/Machine Learningcan be applied to supply chain forecasting and logistics optimization.
- Systems:Proficiency in Ford-specific or global ERP systems (e.g. WERS CMMS3 SAP or Oracle).
- Expertise inIncoterms 2020and international trade regulations.
Certifications (Preferred):
- APICS(CSCP CLTD) orCIPSaccreditation.
- Lean Six SigmaGreen or Black Belt certification.
