Production & Feed Records Specialist

POSITION OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE:

The Production Records & Feed Records Specialist serves SFI by maintaining and reconciling various animal and feed records including pig movements pig group reconciliation feed invoices feed reconciliation and assisting in production data reports. Additionally the position may assist in providing other tracking information to various SFI related entities and act as a backup for receptionist duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Production Records & Feed Records Specialist is responsible for the following functions:

• Enter pig movements between SFI sites in production database.
• Setup pig groups weekly capturing data based on site and pig flow.
• Reconcile pig group data as groups close including pig movements pig mortalities feed deliveries and key statistical data.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to receive applicable paperwork on a timely basis.
• Distribute various weekly reports and assist in analysis of key production data.
• Assist production team members with setup and questions on production database.
• Enter feed deliveries into production databases ensuring accurate ingredients rations pig groups quantities and amounts.
• Reconciliation of feed invoices to orders in feed management software.
• Tracking feed ingredient contracts in place with partner toll mills.
• Work with accounting team to ensure timely and accurate transfer of feed data into the accounting system.
• Maintain and stock forms used by production personnel.
• May assist in entering pig sales information into production database.
• Document and keep work procedures up to date.
• Provide suggestions for process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of all SFI information.
• Be a team player demonstrating teamwork with all team members.
• Adhere to SFIs policies and procedures.
• Maintain strong internal relationships by providing a consistent level of service which is timely thorough and responsive.
• Respond to and accurately resolve routine issues and questions in a timely manner.
• Ensure privacy policies and procedures established by SFI regarding protected health information are implemented and maintained
• Advocate and engage in SFIs animal welfare policy including promoting animal well-being remedying circumstances which impede animal care and properly reporting instances of mistreatment or abuse

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE (or equivalent):

• Associates degree in related field or related work experience; four-year degree preferred.
• Analytical skills
• Medium technical skills including MS Office applications (Word Excel Access Outlook etc.) and other related accounting and/or report writing software applications.
• High degree of accuracy attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective interpersonal communication client service and team skills
