Job Summary
Welder / Fabricator / Pipe Fitter/ Project Engineer Sydney NSW
MMT Recruitment is partnering with a well-established engineering and fabrication business based in Sydneys north-west to recruit skilled Welders Fabricators and Pipe Fitters for a busy manufacturing and workshop environment.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity with immediate starts available offering stable work overtime and hands-on exposure to stainless steel and carbon steel fabrication projects.

Permanent full-time employment
Salary range: $76515 $80000 per annum (based on experience)
Monday to Friday roster
Overtime available
On-the-job training provided

The Role
Reporting to the Workshop or Area Supervisor you will:
Fabricate and assemble metal components in a workshop/manufacturing setting
Assemble and install stainless steel and carbon steel pipes and fittings
Cut shape and prepare metal components to specifications
Perform welding grinding finishing and surface preparation
Read and work from drawings and mark out your own jobs
Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers calipers gauges)
Carry out pipe fitting threading and assembly
Ensure all work meets quality safety and WHS standards
Work autonomously and as part of a fabrication team
About You
Trade-qualified Boilermaker / Welder / Fabricator / Pipe Fitter
(Cert III Engineering Fabrication Trade or equivalent)Minimum 34 years experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
Experience welding mild steel stainless steel and/or aluminium
Confident reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
Construction Industry White Card (essential)
Practical knowledge of WHS requirements
Physically fit and comfortable working indoors and outdoors
Reliable team-oriented and able to follow instructions
Desirable (Not Essential)
Confined Spaces ticket
Working at Heights
Forklift licence
