Were looking for a Gas Technician Level 3 to join our Energy & Utilities team based in Lower Hutt Wellington working across gas reticulation networks on a permanent full-time basis.

This role is focused on delivering high-quality construction maintenance and fault services while meeting contractual KPIs and company standards. Youll be trusted to work independently when required contribute to standby fault response and support the development of trainees through mentoring and leading by example.

This is a role for someone who values teamwork reliability and professional pride and wants to contribute to the long-term success of the gas network and the wider business.

Mōu Koe About You

Youre a qualified and experienced Gas Technician who understands gas distribution systems and takes ownership of your work.

Youll bring:

Registration or a recognised National Certificate as a Gas Technician with a current practising licence
One or more of the following (or equivalent): National Certificate in Gas Network Operations (Level 3) National Certificate in Gas Network Operations (Operations & Maintenance Level or National Certificate in Gas Network Construction (Mains Laying Level 4)
Current Class 1 Drivers Licence (Heavy Trade licence desirable)
Sound knowledge of gas distribution equipment systems and procedures
The ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
Willingness to participate in a first response standby roster
A positive attitude toward mentoring and supporting trainee development
