Job Summary

Job Responsibilities:

The Citadel The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applications for a Cadet Store Manager. This role will work under general supervision of the Director and will manage the retail sales operations of the Cadet addition to this the role will also be responsible for the following:

Will oversee the sale of uniform and military apparel and accessories and convenience items; alerts director when uniform items need to be ordered
Operates POS system and accounts for cash receipts; checks cashier daily cash receipts and reconciles them with the POS system
Manages inventory and maintains merchandise and pricing requirements in the inventory management system
Monitors merchandise and places orders for convenience items name tags ect.
Prepares and maintains sales and financial reports as required.
Supervises cashiers; provides training on the point-of-sale system and the timekeeping system to cashiers and colleagues across Auxiliary Services.
Responsible for opening and closing the Cadet Store when Director and Assistant Director are not in.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma and work experience in retail sales customer service or a related field. Experience in retail sales; knowledge and experience with a point-of-sale and inventory management system. Ability to coordinate a variety of management & administrative functions. Ability to communicate with students faculty and staff in an effective manner. Must be able to stand walk steps push pull and lift up to 20lbs. Occasional weekend and evening hours as needed in support of large campus events.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Word and Excel spreadsheets preferred.
