The Process Development Services Co-Op is responsible to develop and improve on existing unit operations for lipid nanoparticle (LNP) manufacturing process design optimization analysis and documentation.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Process Development and is part of the Process Development Services Team located in Vancouver B.C. and will be an on-site co-op term will be either 8 or 12 months in duration starting on May 4 2026.
What you will do:
Work with internal and external stakeholders to optimize LNP manufacturing unit operations use of lab equipment and administrative activities.
Design and execute lab experiments to optimize cleaning and sanitization of process equipment and consumables.
Assist in general lab management such as ordering organization and cleanliness of lab.
Perform analysis on the physio-chemical properties of nanoparticle formulations such as DLS measurement RiboGreen assay and other routine lab assays.
Who you are:
Studying Chemical Biological Engineering Life Sciences Pharmaceutical Sciences Biotechnology or relevant disciplines.
Experience working with process equipment including pumps valves mixers temperature control units.
Experience of laboratory techniques including pipetting weighing pH adjustments
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Upstream and downstream unit operations such as formulation tangential flow filtration normal flow filtration
Analytical techniques such as Dynamic Light Scattering plate-based assays and aseptic technique
Knowledge of fluid dynamics or thermodynamics
The salary range for this role is $40K - $50K CAD/year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
