Job Summary
ASSYST is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the development of complex high-scale web applications for our upcoming project with our federal client in Sterling VA.
As a senior member of the team the candidate will be responsible for defining technical strategy architecting robust systems and driving engineering excellence through mentorship and best practices.
Please Note: Due to federal contract requirements this position is restricted to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.
Job Location: Sterling VA (Onsite)
Technical Requirements:
- 58 years in full-stack development with expertise across frontend and backend
- Proven experience leading projects or mentoring team members
- Proficiency in frontend frameworks: React Angular Vue
- Strong backend development skills with Python Java Spark
- Advanced knowledge of HTML CSS JavaScript
- Expertise in REST/GraphQL API design
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift Kubernetes and Data Bricks
- Ability to design scalable maintainable web applications
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases caching strategies and authentication mechanisms
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS GCP Azure)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to code quality documentation and agile practices
- Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and DevOps practices
- Specialization in performance optimization security or mobile/web hybrid applications
