General objective of the job

The Projects Assistant will support the planning execution administrative tasks and monitoring of various projects within our organization. This role involves working closely with all team members to ensure project goals are met on time and of high quality. The ideal candidate is highly organized detail-oriented and passionate about our mission.

Position in the organisation
TheProjects Assistantis part of the Programme department reporting toSenior Research OfficerS/he does not manage staff.

Result areas

Project Coordination:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans.
  • Assist in coordinating project activities resources and information.
  • Ensure project deadlines are met by monitoring timelines and milestones.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities in coordination with other team members.
  • Manage and coordinate partner relationships including communication follow-ups and ongoing collaboration.

Administrative Support:

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including reports presentations and records.
  • Schedule meetings take minutes and follow up on action items.
  • Handle correspondence and communication related to project activities.

Research and Data Management:

  • Support the research project development and implementation.
  • Collect and manage project implementation-related data.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and grant applications.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating events workshops and community outreach activities.

Financial Monitoring:

  • Assist in tracking the projects budget.
  • Prepare financial and operational documentation forms as required.

Support in any other related tasks asked by the line manager.

Your profile
Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in (e.g. Business Administration Development Studies Social Sciences) or any relevant field.
  • 1-2 years experience in similar positions.
  • Experience or knowledge in the nonprofit sector scope of work.
  • Passion for nonprofit work and commitment to the organizations mission.
  • Familiarity with social media applications.
  • Knowledge of the Core values and humanitarian standards Child protection and Child Safeguarding.
Skills and Competencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and project management software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English(written and spoken)
  • Cultural sensitivity;
