PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for implementing the Districts instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated in accordance with District goals policies and procedures. The Elementary School/Middle School Teacher collaborates with other members of the school community in their efforts to prepare students to increase their academic performance to meet state standards.

QUALIFICATONS:

Required:

• Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited College or University
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship

Preferred:

• Five years of successful classroom experience

• Knowledge of subjects assigned

• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
