Position: Lab Tech III (Mechanical/Testing)
Location: Maple Grove MN (100% on-site)
Duration of project: 12 months
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Polymer Science Engineering or Chemistry (Bachelors preferred)
- Hands-on experience with polymer mechanical/rheological testing
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills
- Experience with TA Instruments (RSA-G2 DMA ARES-G2 Rheometer)
Summary:
Provides advanced polymer mechanical and rheological testing support within the MTAC Laboratory collaborating with R&D to generate high-quality data for product development material characterization and regulatory submissions.
Job Description:
- Conduct polymer mechanical and rheological testing (e.g. DMA tensile rotational rheometry) on products and materials
- Prepare polymer samples; perform routine data analysis review and reporting
- Maintain compliant documentation for regulatory submissions and quality systems
- Communicate results to internal stakeholders and provide project updates
- Support instrument maintenance troubleshooting and vendor coordination
