The Chief Engineer oversees and manages all aspects of engineering and maintenance operations within the Residences. They are responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning and upkeep of the Residences physical infrastructure including electrical systems HVAC plumbing lift (elevator) systems and other essential equipment. They collaborate closely with various departments to address maintenance issues promptly and implement preventive measures to minimize disruptions. Additionally the Chief Engineer plays a pivotal role in implementing sustainable and energy-efficient practices ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications :
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field preferred. Specialization in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management is an advantage.
Experience: Minimum five years of progressive engineering and maintenance experience ideally in a hotel residences or upscale property setting. Proven expertise in lift (elevator) maintenance including troubleshooting inspections and preventive maintenance.
Leadership: Strong leadership capabilities with experience supervising a technical team. Demonstrated ability to delegate train and develop team members and foster a collaborative working environment.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively across departments and with external vendors.
Problem-Solving: Agile and solutions-focused with the ability to respond quickly to operational issues assess risks and make sound decisions under pressure. Experience in emergency preparedness or crisis management is an advantage.
Financial Acumen: Working knowledge of budgeting and cost control. Experience managing maintenance budgets optimizing resources and negotiating vendor or service provider contracts.
Compliance: Familiarity with safety standards building regulations and environmental requirements ensuring all engineering operations remain compliant and properly documented.
