Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in ensuring safety compliance and risk management for Building projects across Pan India within Airport Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of safety protocols hazard identification and mitigation strategies ensuring the safety of personnel equipment and operations throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires technical proficiency leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans for building projects in compliance with local and international safety standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA ISO 45001 and local building codes.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols on-site ensuring the safety of workers contractors and visitors.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections audits and drills to evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures.
  • Investigate incidents near-misses and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for project teams contractors and stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all project personnel.
  • Provide guidance on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools.
  • Ensure all safety practices align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for safety audits certifications and regulatory submissions.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory authorities and third-party auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for building projects.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in safety engineering with a focus on annex building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of safety management systems hazard identification and risk assessment techniques.
  • Proficiency in safety software and tools such as HAZOP HAZID and incident reporting systems.
  • Familiarity with construction safety standards and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH OSHA ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or equivalent are highly desirable.

Preferred Attributes

  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale annex building projects including commercial institutional or industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly safety practices.
  • Familiarity with advanced safety technologies such as IoT-based monitoring systems and AI-driven safety analytics.
