Job Summary

Summary: The Host plays a pivotal role in creating a positive andwelcoming experience for our guests. The Host is the first point of contact forguests ensuring they feel valued from the moment they walk through the door. TheHost will manage reservations oversee the seating process and contribute tothe overall efficiency and success of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

Create a positive and inviting atmosphere by warmly welcomingguests as they enter/exit the restaurant.

Receive and manage incoming reservations effectively especiallyduring peak hours.

Record reservation details accurately in the system and assist inmanaging guest databases and contact information.

Organize and prioritize seating arrangements based on reservationsand walk-ins.

Optimize table turnover to ensure efficient use of dining space.

Provide accurate wait times for guests and keep guests informedabout the status of their reservation. Offer guests waiting areas.

Assist guests with inquiries about the menu special requests orother information.

Collaborate with servers to ensure a smooth and coordinated diningexperience.

Communicate table assignments and special requests to the servingstaff.

Keep the lobby or waiting area clean organized and visuallyappealing.

Recognize and acknowledge repeat or VIP guests by providing apersonalized and attentive experience.

Accommodate special requests or arrangements for celebrationsdietary restrictions etc.

Promote specials promotions or additional services to guestswhen appropriate.

Handle credit card and cash transactions and process paymentsaccurately.

Manage takeout orders coordinating with kitchen staff andensuring timely pickup.

Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints withprofessionalism and courtesy.

Communicate effectively with restaurant management and other teammembers.

Adhere to Company policies and procedures related to guestservices and hospitality.

Must Haves:

1 years in a Host role in a restaurant setting.

Knowledge of Reservation systems OpenTablepreferred.

Keen attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations andmanage multiple tasks.

Customer-focused mindset with a dedication toproviding exceptional service.

Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.

Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to work flexible hours includingevenings weekends and holidays.
